⚙ Skye Space Dev Updates — 1.0.0.4
The big one this cycle: a brand-new visual Universal Map — pan, zoom, and watch your fleet fly its actual route across three zoom levels (Universe → Galaxy → System) — plus jump-lane travel, so distance and Hyperspace Drive now genuinely gate how fast (and whether) you can get somewhere. Two new tiers on every resource/energy building, badge notifications, alliance mailbox invites, and a batch of fixes round out the update.

Jump-Lane Travel (new)
- Fleets now travel only along jump lanes instead of a straight line — a far system with no shortcut lane costs the sum of the smaller hops between, so distance finally matters the way it should.
- Crossing between galaxies is gated on Hyperspace Drive research (Level 4 / 8 / 12 for Galaxy II / III / IV) — no more instant hops to a galaxy you haven't earned the tech for.
- Fleets already in flight when this went live were re-timed onto the new routes automatically.
- A whole new visual navigator for the Galaxy tab: Universe → Galaxy → System, with pan/zoom, fog of war over anything you haven't explored, and a marker flying your fleet's actual route in real time.
- Charted systems, your home system, pirates, deposits, and colonizable slots are all color-coded and readable at a glance — click a planet to jump straight to it in the list below.
- A "Clear course" button drops the plotted-route preview without losing your place; fleets actually in flight keep their own marker regardless.
- Also on mobile now, with the same fog of war and lane-gating.
- Metal Mine, Crystal Mine, Hydrogen Synthesizer, and Solar Plant all get Tier III and Tier IV now — each unlocks once the tier before it hits Level 30, same shape as the existing Tier II unlock.
- Alliance invites can now be sent and received right through the in-game mailbox.
- Alliance ranks and permissions were unified into one consistent system.
- Chat now shows a one-time safety reminder on first use.
- Admins and moderators show a distinct name color and badge, and it now actually clears when someone's demoted.
- Bounty Hunter, PvP, Mining, and Exploration badge tiers now show a notification the moment one's ready to claim — on the Leaderboard tab and on the specific sub-tab it's claimed from.
- Fixed a bug where earned Captain Skill points could show as unavailable.
- Ascension now grants a Rebuild Kit to help get your build queue back on its feet after resetting.
- An alliance's own banner color could bleed onto a member's name — personal name color only, now.
- The profile dropdown menu no longer gets hidden behind the map or anything else on the page.
- Chat messages over 500 characters were silently rejected after clearing your draft — the input now stops you at the real limit instead of losing what you typed.
